About the artwork:
‘Rites for Crossing Water’ imagines a collection of rituals for the future inhabitants of Coventry. The rites mark the 19 public crossings over the Coventry Canal from Hawkesbury Junction to the Basin. They offer new ways to connect with the waterways and how we mark time, in person and online. The piece is presented as a song with projected text and animation in collaboration with local Coventry based illustrator and animator Jessica Glover.
