About the artwork:
Ludic Rooms brings the iconic Ricoh Arena letters to life in a surprising and harmonious form on Coventry Canal.
Over the past few months Ludic Rooms’ Dom Breadmore has been working with Andy Payne, of Mechanismo, to transform a familiar Coventry sight into something brand new.
When the Ricoh Arena rebranded to the CBS Arena, the famous RICOH letters were in need of a new home. So they came to us in our studio in the Canal Warehouse. Throughout Autumn, Dom and Andy have been working diligently to create a new artwork that celebrates and reimagines this Coventry symbol, with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire visiting us to document and share the process with their listeners.
So, why does it say CHOIR? Well, you’ll have to wait until you get to the other side of the trail to find out that one…
